GANCIA DI GANCIA setup (again)

i have the ABC gancia di gancia, i had a single motor but took it out, it was a direct drive from the motor. I don't no what to do though do i put a single back in or fill in the holes make it tidy an but something else there? Does anybody have an ideas. Many thanks chris

the boat is about 3 feet long, iam thinking off getting a dual rudder to fir around the drive as it hooks bad one way an cornes to wide the other??

any ideas on a motor an setp would be great i had a rubbish graupner in it a few years back but died on me.

Hello Chris,
if you want good cornering in both directions you have to install a twin drive with counter rotating props, a single drive with twin rudder still has the problem of propwalk which prevents good cornering to the left.
You should consider to intall 2 Speed 700 Turbo 8.4V (https://shop.graupner.de/webuerp/servlet/AI?ARTN=6316) and run them on 4S1P LiPo 4000to 5000mAh per motor, this schould be good for reasonable speed with good runtime.
If you want to run NiMH cells you have to stay with a single drive, either a Speed 700 or a Ultra 1300, with a twin drive the current for 12-14 cells is quite high and with 12-14 cells per motor the weight of the boat will increase too much.
A brushless drive doesn't make much sense in this boat, better save the money for a real raceboat and enjoy cruising the Gancia.
