Hello guys.

I try to makean adaptercable for these controller to have individual lipo cell control. Controller seems to have this facility.
Schulze delivers a BalCap20 set together with installation manual.
It is a flatcable with an industrial 20 pins connector.

Manual mentions also that type of battery(lipo/lilo/ ... ) and charger current must be determined with strapping and a potmeter. This is if Schulze balancers/chargers and lipo's with Schulze connectorsystem will be used.

I don't work with the Schulze balances/chargers but on a classic way.
In the manual notting is mentioned for this application .

Called hotline Schulze: It seems that only->-, + cel1/+ cel2/+ cel3 / ... ... +cell n must be connected. Nothing else !!!!!!!!!.

Have done so. However by 40 % throttle goes the controller in the safety mode and stops working..
When I remove the BalCab cable , everything works normal.

Hotline Schulze is however closed untill 9 march. :bang:bang
Great carnaval evenments??????
Wass planning to test this new set-up beginning next-week.

Please has someone a solution or a connection diagram???
Should be great.

:thx::thx:.

Gruss.
Jef.

Hello Jef,
the ESC only needs the cell voltage of the BalCab.
Does the ESC only run up once and the stops until you disconnect the ESC? If yes there's a problem with your adapter, either a loose contact or a wrong pin assignment.
Do you have a PC- interface? If yes you should check if the cell voltages are detetected correctly.
Additionally you should check the programmed undervoltage threshold.
If you don't have a PC interface you can only check the balancer voltage with a multimeter.
Best Regards
Gunnar

Gunnar, thanks for answer.
Indeed, the ESC only run up once and the stops until I disconnect the ESC.
Have measured the disconnected BalCap 20 cable with the lipo's. Seems to be OK.
Perhaps I must remove the controller out of the boat. Is installed left from the motor near to the floodchambre. There is not so much space.
Maybe the 20 pins connector clamps not completely in the printsocket?
Will also inspect the male connector pins on the controllerboard.

Keep you informed.

Schönen Sontag.

Gruss.
Jef.
