I am running a 1535/5, but I think the motor is too heavy so I will probably switch to a lighter one.

Neu 1110/1Y for à light H1 (700-800g)
But the motor only doesn't do the job.
Ok you nead the right RMP but it's not the 1% more more ore less that is making the difference. Lipos prop and trimming are I think more importent.

yes i agree, but i dont understand we run on around 4000-4500kv, italians chinese ,germans run 5000-6000kv....and dont know what setup to chose.

With less Rmp you have a bigger prop and a better acceleration.
With more RMP you have a higher topspeed but are slower in the curves.
I think 5000kv is good for à 700 to 800g rigger. That's what most people runn with in France.

We here in Germany with national Nauticus Rules (only here) are allowed to use also 3s or 4S Setups in a Hydro 1 since 2009. -Always with maximum 280g Battery weight.
I tested the 4s Version (+2800 RPM) and I am very happy with it
-lower Temperature all over-
